Owner Bio
Lori L. Maher was born in Chillicothe, Missouri and attended Southwest High School. Upon graduation, Lori attended college at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Following college, Lori worked pursued a career in the medical field. In 2000, Maher Group, LLC was founded to assist non-profit organizations with management and conference / event planning. Her first client was the Johnson County Bar Association, followed by the Human Resource Management Association of Greater Kansas City (now SHRM-KC). In addition to being a successful business owner, Lori is a dedicated and passionate volunteer leader. Lori served as Secretary/Treasurer for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Area IV Board in 2000 and 2001; served as President of the Rotary Club of Johnson County in 2005-2006; served as a volunteer for United Way; and served as a member of the Olathe Convention and Visitors Bureau Advisory Council from 2006-2008. Lori is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, Rotary Club of Johnson County, American Society of Association Executives, National Association of Bar Executives and the Central Exchange.
In Lori's spare time, she enjoys golf, her second home at Lake of the Ozarks, travel and sporting events. She makes her home in Lenexa, Kansas with her husband, James, and their two dogs Bogey and Duffer.
